NextGen Motorsports Announces New Sponsor & Returning Driver For K&N Series

New Smyrna Beach, Florida— 2/8/19 — NextGen Motorsports, LLC out of Mooresville, NC, is pleased to announce TOUGHBUILT as a sponsor for the 2019 K&N Race Series backing returning driver Juan Manuel Gonzalez.

Juan Manuel Gonzalez, a 19-year-old driver from Mexico City, and currently attending school in San Antonio, Texas said, “I’m pretty excited to start this new season with NextGen, who I had the opportunity to race with last year. I want to thank my sponsors Illux, TOUGHBUILT, Escuderia Telmex – Telcel, Aria, Hooter’s Mexico for their trust in the project. I’m sure really good things are coming this year.”
Focusing on Talent From Latin America
Carlos Crespo, Owner of NextGen Motorsports and a Cuban born American, said “There is a tremendous amount of young talent developing throughout Latin America across various motorsports platforms. Much of this talent is looking for a path to rise through the ranks and achieve the ultimate goal of competing in the US in NASCAR’s Cup Series. Moreover, with NASCAR’s commitment to increasing diversity in the sport, we’re excited to place our focus in Latin America. During the past couple of weeks, we’ve fielded calls of interest from Mexico, Brazil, and Columbia.”
NextGen has committed to three drivers so far for the 2019 season. Juan Manuel Gonzalez will be running full-time NASCAR Mexico Series and K&N. Max Gutierrez, a 15-year-old driver who just became the NASCAR Mexico Truck Series Champion, will be running late model with NextGen. Max’s teammate, Marco Marin will also be running in the late model series.
Dee Jetton, General Manager for NextGen Motorsports indicates the NextGen team plans to participate in the full K&N East Series and select Late Model events.
