Next Generation Motorsports (NGM) driver Peter London will be moving up to drive a Grand Am Rolex Sports Car Series GT car in the Brumos Porsche 250 at Daytona International Speedway this weekend. Peter will be joining Shane Lewis to co-drive the #21 Battery Tender / MCM Racing Pontiac GTO.R This will be Peter’s first time racing a GT car in the Rolex Series. Peter will be under the guidance of Shane and car owner Matt Connolly, to get up to speed, and get familiar with the GTO.R as quick as possible. Peter is optimistic about having a great race with Shane and confident that together as a team they will finish strong here at Daytona which is his home track. here in Florida. Peter wants to show his abilities as a driver and team mate, and wants to do well for his sponsors that are also based here in the Orlando / Port Orange area, Del Frisco’s Steakhouse, www.delfriscosorlando.com and Bobs Discount Marine Supply, bobsdiscountmarinesupply.com. Peter will also be driving in the Koni Sports Car Challenge 6 hour season finale at VIR in October in one of the Next Generation Motorsports BMW 330i’s in the ST class. Peter is working on a deal with his co-driver from Watkins Glen, Boris Said to help him go for a strong finish at VIR. Unfortunately there was contact in the morning practice at Watkins Glen with another car that prevented Peter and Boris from making the race. Peter wants to come back and get another chance racing with Boris and show what they can do together as team mates.
