Next Generation Motorsports (NGM) heads to Miller Motorsports Park this week to compete in the Salt Lake City 200 the tenth round of the 2009 KONI Sports Car Challenge. The team is looking to follow up its top five finish from Barber Motorsports Park during their last race. NGM has entered the #129 NGM BMW 330i, and will be bringing the #128 NGM BMW 330i, just in case the last minute deal can be finalized. The team is proud to announce the return of Byron Payne from Las Vegas, Nevada and V.J. Mirzyan from Fresno, California who teamed together earlier in the season at Laguna Seca compiling a ninth place finish together. Byron has proudly obtained new sponsors, unitedfinancial.com, and Force Fuel for Earth whom have come on board supporting Byron and the NGM team. V.J. comes back onboard with support from Granville Homes, and Weber BMW continuing their support of V.J. and his racing career. V.J. and Byron will be working together confidently to grab a tight hold on the field and work their way to the front. Both drivers want to show well for their sponsors and for each other. The team is confident in the line up and will do the best they can to put the car up front in the dusk this Friday at 6pm! In the NGM news : The team is planning the VIR 4 hour race, which is the final round in the 2009 KONI Sports Car Challenge, the team has entered 3 of it’s NGM BMW 330i’s in hopeful for multiple top ten finishes. The team is also branching out and going to prepare for the 13 hour at VIR, aggressively looking for drivers whom would like to enter and compete in the event, the team is advertising 2 of it’s NGM BMW 330i’s now that their budget has been completed. For the future, there are plans of an expansion for 2010 in Grand Am; talks are under way to possibly field a GS car (Mustang FR500C) or (BMW E46 M3). The team is also looking to sign contract again with T Giovanis Motorsports to crew and prep their car for next season as well. The Canadian Super Touring car is close to being completed, and will be looking to test in early spring. The team is also looking to obtain new customers for prepping and crewing of cars for Grand Am and Canadian Touring Car as well for 2010. The team will be at the Glen in October for 5 different days testing and working towards the future, for their racing and their autowerks shop. NGM would like to thank its sponsors J.E.
