Next Generation Motorsports (NGM) is gearing up for the second race of the 2009 Koni Sports Car Challenge down at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Returning to drive the NGM #128 BMW 330i will be veteran drivers Squeak Kennedy and Peter London both from Florida. Peter and Squeak drove with us at Daytona and finished 14th and now are familiar with car and are looking to race into the top ten; along with this being Peter’s home track. We will have one of our other chassis down there with us, but at this time it is not entered, there are a couple things in the works but we will have to wait and see.
More news in the NGM world; the team is proud to announce that starting at New Jersey Motorsports Park the team will be bringing in Ted Giovanis’s #64 BMW 330ci under its canopy. NGM will be crewing and maintaining Ted’s car for 6 races in the 2009 Koni Sports Car Challenge season. Along with Ted’s car, Fairport, New York native John Bosch is looking for a co-driver to pilot the NGM #127 BMW 330i for the rest of the 2009 season with him. John has run in World Challenge, SCCA, and Koni Challenge events and is now looking to make the rest of the 2009 Koni Challenge races starting at New Jersey. NGM is also building another chassis for the Koni Challenge NGM #129 BMW 330i which will be ready for the New Jersey Race, if we have drivers to fill the seats. Team owner Jeffrey E Bock will also be using this car for DE events at Watkins Glen, and other local tracks to get seat time in for himself. In the spring NGM will be looking to get a chassis certified by NHRA that we are building it will be a 225” dragster that we are hoping to bring to local NHRA tracks and run late summer to fall at bracket racing events that Jeffrey will be looking to pilot as well.
NGM’s autowerks shop has been keeping us busy in the off weeks; the shop is growing and continuing to get busier. We are trying to market the shop doing some advertising and pull in some more clients to continue its growth in Ontario, New York. We have a full repair and maintenance shop, along with race car prep, and fabricating shop. As the spring and early summer rolls in we are hoping to hire on another technician to help us as well.
As for our sponsors for 2009 we would like to thank Hawk Performance Brakes, Marren Fuel Injection, and Badass Builders website design and marketing for joining our program.
We would also like to announce that our new website is started and up and running, there is still more to add to it, and over the next month or two we should have it completed. Come and visit us at nextgenmotorsports.net. |
